Description
It’s a false assumption that technical skills are ‘king’ and more important than ‘soft skills’ such as communication. Being the smartest or most technically astute person in the room doesn’t mean you are the most effective communicator - and ultimately, the most successful. As you progress in your career in the technology industry, the need to communicate increasingly complex ideas to wider audience becomes an increasingly crucial part of your job. It is your responsibility to be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all your stakeholders – your suite of technical skills loses their value if you do not know how to communicate.
This short course focuses on enhancing your communication skills, particularly when presenting information to an audience - either face-to-face or virtually. We will look at understanding your audience, structuring a base narrative to tailor your message to suit various challenging situations, and practicing key skills on delivering with impact.
